  “Two things I ask of you, LORD;  do not refuse me before I die: Keep falsehood and lies far from me;  give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread. Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, ‘Who is the LORD?’ Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God.     Proverbs 30:7-9

"Wentworth Cheswell – the son of a notable and well-to-do homebuilder, was a respected leader by the age of 21 in his hometown in New Hampshire. In 1768 he became the first black judge, and the first black man elected to public office in America. In April 1776, 8 years later, he signed a document in which he pledged, “at the risk of life and fortune,” to take up arms against the British. Two years later he enlisted.

Cheswell was one of the 30 or so armed men who went out one particular night to warn of the movement of the British army. Had the British gone north instead of west on the night of Paul Revere’s infamous ride, we might be have learned about the Midnight Ride of Wentworth Cheswell."

Cheswell continued to be elected Judge for the next 40 years or so.

Nearly every one of our congressmen and senators in Washington are millionaires if not billionaires like Al Gore.  The next time one of them says something about "Redistributing the Wealth" someone should ask them how much of their own personal wealth they are willing to "Redistribute".    Incidentally,  AIG the first to receive bail out money from the federal government also happens to be the institution that funds our congressmen and senators retirement.  I wonder if that had anything to do with them not wanting that institution to fail?

On September 20th 2009, this flag, the flag of the Communist Peoples Repulic of China, will fly over our White House in our Nations Capital.  There will be a hosted celebration by the Chinese government honoring 60 years of communist tyranny and aggression, human rights violations, lies and propaganda.  How many American lives were lost fighting these same communists, during World War II, Korea, and Vietnam.  Now our leaders choose to dishonor all of thosed honored dead and disgrace our nation with this despicable act.

August 2009

 Here is an interesting excerpt for the proposed Health Care Reform initiative.   It basically allows the government direct, real time access to ALL INDIVIDUAL BANK ACCOUNTS FOR ELECTRONIC FUNDS TRANSFER.   Don't believe me?  Here is the section of the bill that covers this:

Read the whole section so that you understand the context but pay close attention to the bold and underlined sentences especially the last line.

    ‘‘(1) IN GENERAL.—The Secretary shall adopt and regularly update standards consistent with the goals described in paragraph (2).
    ‘‘(2) GOALS FOR FINANCIAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE TRANSACTIONS.—The goals for standards under paragraph (1) are that such standards shall—
       ‘‘(A) be unique with no conflicting or redundant standards;
       ‘‘(B) be authoritative, permitting no additions or constraints for electronic transactions,
 including companion guides;
       ‘‘(C) be comprehensive, efficient and robust, requiring minimal augmentation by paper
  transactions or clarification by further communications;
      ‘‘(D) enable the real-time (or near real time) determination of an individual’s financial responsibility at the point of service and, to the extent possible, prior to service, including whether the individual is eligible for a specific service with a specific physician at a specific facility, which may include utilization of a machine-readable health plan beneficiary identification card;
      ‘‘(E) enable, where feasible, near real-time adjudication of claims;
      ‘‘(F) provide for timely acknowledgment, response, and status reporting applicable to any electronic transaction deemed appropriate by the Secretary;
     ‘‘(G) describe all data elements (such as reason and remark codes) in unambiguous terms, not permit optional fields, require that
  data elements be either required or conditioned upon set values in other fields, and prohibit additional conditions; and
     ‘‘(H) harmonize all common data elements across administrative and clinical transaction standards.
  ‘‘(3) TIME FOR ADOPTION.—Not later than 2 years after the date of implementation of the X12 Version 5010 transaction standards implemented under this part, the Secretary shall adopt standards under this section.
  ‘‘(4) REQUIREMENTS FOR SPECIFIC STANDARDS.—The standards under this section shall be developed, adopted and enforced so as to—
    ‘‘(A) clarify, refine, complete, and expand, as needed, the standards required under section 1173;
    ‘‘(B) require paper versions of standardized transactions to comply with the same standards as to data content such that a fully
  compliant, equivalent electronic transaction can be populated from the data from a paper version;
    ‘‘(C) enable electronic funds transfers, in order to allow automated reconciliation with the related health care payment and remittance advice;

It is smooth, hard to understand, legalese.   Here is how it will work.  We will all be required to enroll in the program even if we are insured through a private insurance carrier.  And if we are enrolled in the program, then for the government to have real time or near real time ability to electronically transfer funds from our accounts for payment of premiums we will have to sign an authorization, or it may be implied by our membership in the health care program itself.  In essence, the government will have the ability to take money from your account for any reason what ever, without your knowledge or consent.  And if you were to fight it in court the court could choose to interpret it anyway it wants, especially if the justices are liberal appointees and not conservative constitutionalists.

If this passes then we All need to close all of our bank accounts and withdraw the money

Still don't believe me then google the bill and download it for yourself.  It begins on page 57 just think what is in store for us in the next 1000 pages of the bill that our senators and representatives "don't have time to read"

Thomas  Jefferson said in 1802:
'I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered..'

Dear Mr. Obama,

Where are the jobs? Where is the economic recovery? Where are all of the things that you promised on the campaign trail?

In the words of the Toby Kieth song " A LITTLE LESS TALK AND A LOT MORE ACTION"

 'In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language.. and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.'

Cow Fart Tax?

$175.00 per dairy cow

$87.50 per beef cow

$20.00 per hog

Can you believe it?  The EPA is proposing this tax as an answer to the methane gas created by livestock when digesting the grain and hay that they eat.  It is really scary to think that we have fools like this making decisions in our country.  My question is how is the tax going to alleviate or cure the gas problem.   It's just another excuse to tax.  I'm not planning on giving up steak are you?  This smacks of PETA!

Here is one of many links.  Check it out for yourself.

Did you know that the Morman Church teaches its members that they should have at least a one year supply of food on hand for their households.
In these uncertain times I think it would be a good idea for all of us to keep a years supply of food.  During the great depression our society was predominately an aggrarian society and even though jobs were scarce many people still had their gardens, orchards, chickens, dairy and beef cows, hogs and wild game.   Even without money they had plenty to eat.  If our economy were to collapse like it did then, the results would be catastrophic.  Today very few feed very many.  If these commodities became unavailable or unafordable for a variety of reasons, millions of people could starve.  I believe we should all begin to prepare like the mormans do.  Its just common sense!

This fall we will give thanks on Thanksgiving Day for all the wonderful blessing we have as Americans.

This weekend we should pause and give thanks to all the people who fought and died so that we could have these blessings.

October 2008

At the present time our nation is 9.5 trillion dollars in debt and we have spent 2.9 trillion in 2008.  If our National budget remains the same and assuming  we were to try to pay off our debt over the next 20 years at an interest rate of 3% and then have a balanced budget from that point on here is what we would have to do.

With a population of 300 million in the US today each man, woman and child would have to pay $2,107.44 on the principal and interest each year toward  the 9.5 trillion dollar national debt, and  $9,667.00  each year to maintain a 2.9 trillion dollar budget.  That is a whopping $11,774.44 per year for every man, woman and child.  That means the average family of four would have to pay $47,970.76 to the US Government every year for the next 20 years.

Now if the interest rate were 5% on that debt our payments would then increase to $2,507.88 per person per year for the principal and interest.  Total annual payment for a family of four to keep a balanced budget and pay off our debt would be $48,698.52

Then when the National debt is finally paid (20 years down the road) to maintain a 2.9 trillion dollar budget each man, woman  and child would have to continue to pay $9,667.00 per year.  A family of four would pay $38,667 per year from that point on.

In point of fact our government is BROKE.   We need to get our spending under control SOON or there WON'T  be a United States of America for our children to inherit.

Our national debt is getting larger every day.  By the time you read this it will probably be over 10 trillion dollars.

August 2008

Having been a Naval Officer myself I have a great deal of respect and admiration for all men and women who serve and have served this great nation of ours.  When I think of the sacrifice that many of them made for all of us a lump rises in my throat and my eyes tear up.

On April 9th 1942,  75,000  Filipino and American troops were surrendered to the Japanese at Bataan.  These starving, injured and diseased men were then force marched 90 miles over the next 6 days to prison camps to the north.  One in four of these men died in route due to the sadistic cruelty of the Japanese.  If a man fell from exhaustion by the road side or if he stopped to help a comrade who had fallen,  he would be shot, bayoneted or beheaded by his captors.   Those that survived spent the next three years as prisoners of the Japanese.  It has been sixty six years since those terrible days and not many of the men who survived are alive today.

Sunday August 17th, I had the great privilege  of having lunch with one such hero.  He was 17 years old at the time he was captured.  He weighed 78 lbs when he was released three years later.  His name is Robert Block.  Bob, I salute you and your comrades who fell.  May God Bless and Keep You.

When in England , at a fairly large conference, Colin Powell was asked by the Archbishop of Canterbury if our plans for Iraq were just an example of empire building by George Bush. He answered by saying,

"Over the years, the United States has sent  many of its fine young men and women into great peril to fight for freedom beyond our borders. The only amount of land we have ever asked for in return is enough to bury those that did not return."

You could have heard a pin drop.

Father-Daughter Talk

    A young woman was about to finish her first year of college.  Like so many others her age, she considered herself to be a very liberal Democrat, and among other liberal ideals, was very much in favor of higher taxes to support more government programs, in other words redistribution of wealth.   She was deeply ashamed that her father was a rather staunch Republican, a feeling she openly expressed. Based on the lectures that she had participated in, and the occasional chat with a professor, she felt that her father had for years harbored an evil, selfish desire to keep what he thought should be his.

    One day she was challenging her father on his opposition to higher taxes on the rich and the need for more government programs. The self-professed objectivity proclaimed by her professors had to be the truth and she indicated so to her father. He responded by asking how she was doing in school.

    Taken aback, she answered rather haughtily that she had a 4.0 GPA, and let him know that it was tough to maintain, insisting that she was taking a very difficult course load and was constantly studying, which left her no time to go out and party like other people she knew. She didn't even have time for a boyfriend, and didn't really have many college friends because she  spent all her time studying.

    Her father listened and then asked, How is your friend Audrey doing?

    She replied, Audrey is barely getting by. All she takes are easy classes, she never studies, and she barely has a 2.0 GPA. She is so popular on campus; college for her is a blast. She's always invited to all the parties, and lots of times she doesn't even show up for classes because she's too hung over.

    Her wise father asked his daughter, Why don't you go to the Dean's office and ask him to deduct a 1.0 off your GPA and give it to your friend who only has a 2.0. That way you will both have a 3.0 GPA and certainly that would be a fair and equal distribution of GPA.

    The daughter, visibly shocked by her father's suggestion, angrily fired back,  'That's a crazy idea. How would that be fair? I've worked really hard for my grades! I've invested a lot of time, and a lot of hard work! Audrey has done next to nothing toward her degree. She played while I worked my tail off!

    The father slowly smiled, winked and said gently, 'Welcome to the Republican Party.

A Senior Moment
  Here's a  quote from a government employee      who witnessed a recent interaction between
  an elderly woman and an antiwar protester in a  Metro station in D. C.
  There were protesters on the train platform  handing out pamphlets on the evils of America. I  politely declined to take one.
  An elderly woman was behind me getting off the  escalator and a young ( 20-ish) female protester  offered her a pamphlet, which she politely  declined.
  The young protester put her hand on the old  woman's shoulder as a gesture of friendship
  and in a very soft voice said, 'Lady, don't you
  care about the children of Iraq ?'
  The old woman looked up at her and said,    'Honey, my father died in France during
  WorldWar II, I lost my husband in Korea , and a   son in Vietnam .
  All three died so you could have the right to    stand here and bad mouth our country.
  If you touch me again, I'll stick this umbrella up  your ass and open it.'

" It is amazing when you think of all that man has achieved.  We have the ability to continually find ways of accomplishing difficult tasks quicker, easier, with greater efficiency and with less sweat and toil every day.  If it weren't for lazy people, We would still be in the Stone Age"

 Here are some quotes from two books written by Barack Obama

From Dreams of My Father:  'I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.'

From Dreams of My Father:  'I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother
's race.'

From Dreams of My Father:  'There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white.'

From Dreams of My Father:  ; 'It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.'

From Dreams of My Father:
  'I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa, that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself, the attributes of Martin and Malco
lm, Dubois and Mandela.'

From Audacity of Hope 'I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.'

Billions & Taxes

The next time you hear a politician use the word 'billion' in a casual manner,  think about whether you want the 'politicians' spending YOUR tax money.   A billion is a difficult number to comprehend, but one advertising agency did a good job of putting that figure into some perspective in one of its releases.

        A. A billion seconds ago it was 1959.

        B.. A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive.

        C. A billion hours ago our ancestors were living in the Stone Age.

        D.. A billion days ago no-one walked on the earth on two feet.

        E. A billion dollars a go was only 8 hours and 20 minutes, at the rate our government is spending it.

While this thought is still fresh in our brain, let's take a look at New Orleans.    It's amazing what you can learn with some simple
division . . .   Louisiana Senator, Mary Landrieu (D), is presently asking Congress for
 $250 BILLION to rebuild New Orleans .  Interesting number, what does it mean?

        A. Well, if you are one of 484,674 residents of New Orleans

             (every man, woman, child), you each get $516,528.

        B. Or, if you have one of the 188,251 homes in New Orleans,

             your home gets $1,329,787.

        C. Or, if you are a family of four, your family gets $2,066,012.

        Workers Compensation Tax.

Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, and our nation was the most prosperous in the world.   We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.  What happened?  Can you spell 'politicians!'  And I still have to 'press  1' for English.

What the heck happened?????

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed

James Madison - the man who wrote this amendment said -

"Americans have the right and advantage
of being armed - unlike the citizens
of other countries whose governments
are afraid to trust the people with arms"

Other notable quotes of James Madison are:

"Do not separate text from historical background.
If you do, you will have perverted and subverted
the Constitution, which can only end in a distorted,
bastardized form of illegitimate government."

"If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy"

"All men having power ought to be distrusted to a certain degree."

Some other enlightening quotes -

"A democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where fifty-one percent of the people may take away the rights of the other forty-nine."
Thomas Jefferson

"Advertisements contain the only truths to be relied on in a newspaper."
Thomas Jefferson

And my personal favorite

"Do you want to know who you are? Don't ask. Act! Action will delineate and define you."
Thomas Jefferson

I received the following 2 emails from friends this month and I feel they are worth sharing

  -     One detail that is never mentioned is that in Washington, D.C. there can never be a building of greater height than the Washington Monument .
With all the uproar about removing the ten commandments, etc., this is worth a moment or two of your time.  I was not aware of this amazing historical information.

On the aluminum cap, atop the Washington Monument in Washington , D.C. , are displayed two words:
Laus Deo.

No one can see these words.  In fact, most visitors to the monument are totally unaware they are even there and for that matter, probably couldn't care less.

Once you know Laus Deo's history , you will want to share this with everyone you know.  These words have been there for many years; they are 555 feet, 5.125 inches high, perched atop the monument, facing skyward to the Father of our nation, overlooking the 69 square miles which comprise the District of Columbia, capital of the United States of America.

Laus Deo!  Two seemingly insignificant, unnoticed words. Out of sight and, one might think, out of mind, but very meaningfully placed at the highest point over what is the most powerful city in the most successful nation in the world.

So, what do those two words, in Latin, composed of just four syllables and only seven letters, possibly mean?  Very simply, they say 'Praise be to God!'

Though construction of this giant obelisk began in 1848, when James Polk was President of the United States , it was not until 1888 that the monument was inaugurated and opened to the public.  It took twenty-five years to finally cap the memorial with a tribute to the Father of our nation, Laus Deo 'Praise be to God!'

From atop this magnificent granite and marble structure, visitors may take in the beautiful panoramic view of the city with its division into four major segments.  From that vantage point, one can also easily see the original plan of the designer, Pierre Charles l'Enfant ..a perfect cross imposed upon the landscape, with the White House to the north.& nbsp; The Jefferson Memorial is to the south, the Capitol to the east and the Lincoln Memorial to the west.

A cross you ask?  Why a cross?  What about separation of church and state? Yes, a cross; separation of church and state was not, is not, in the Constitution.  So, read on. How interesting and, no doubt, intended to carry a profound meaning for those who bother to notice.

Praise be to God!  Within the monument itself are 898 steps and 50 landings.  As one climbs the steps and pauses at the landings the memorial stones share a message.
          -    It seems prayer still upsets some people. Please read....
             When Minister Joe Wright was asked to open the new session of the Kansas Senate,
 everyone was expecting the usual generalities, but
this is what they heard;
                           "Heavenly Father,

                         We come before you today

                        To ask your forgiveness and
                      To seek your direction and guidance.

                          We know Your Word says,
                       "Woe to those who call evil good"

                      But that is exactly what we have done.

                      We have lost our spiritual equilibrium

                         And reversed our values.

                       We have exploited the poor and
                         Called it the lottery.

                         We have rewarded laziness

                           And called it welfare.

                         We have killed our unborn

                           and called it choice.

                         We have shot abortionists
                          And called it justifiable.

                       We have neglected to discipline
                         Our children and called it

                           Building self esteem.

                          We have abused power

                           And called it politics.

                         We have coveted our neighbor's
                       Possessions and called it ambition.

                           We have polluted the air
                          With profanity and

                         Pornography and called it

                      Freedom of speech and _expression.

                         We have ridiculed the time

                          Honored values of our

                     Forefathers and called it enlightenment.

                           Search us, Oh, God,
                       And know our hearts today;
                         Cleanse us from every sin

                            And set us free.

              The response was immediate. A number of legislators walked Out

                         during the prayer in protest.

              In 6 short weeks, Central Christian Church, where Rev. Wright is

               pastor, logged more than 5,000 phone calls with only 47 Of those
              calls responding negatively. The church is now receiving
               requests for copies of this prayer from India, Africa and Korea.

            Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on his radio Program, "The
              Rest of the Story," and received a larger response to this program
                              than any other he has ever aired.

               With the Lord's help, may this prayer sweep over our Nation and
           wholeheartedly become our desire so that we again can be called
                      "one nation under God."

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves money from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury, with a result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by dictatorship. The average age of the world s greatest civilizations has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through the following sequence:

>From bondage to spiritual faith;
>From spiritual faith to great courage;
>From courage to liberty;
>From liberty to abundance;
>From abundance to selfishness;
>From selfishness to complacency;
>From complacency to apathy;
>From apathy to dependency;
>From dependency back into bondage.

Dog finally off Wash. state voter rolls

SEATTLE - Duncan M. McDonald is finally off the voter rolls after the Australian shepherd-terrier mix was sent absentee ballots for three elections.

King County Elections Director Sherril Huff said she canceled the voter registration Tuesday for the dog owned by Jane K. Balogh, 66, who registered her pet to protest a change in the law that she said made it too easy for non-citizens to cast ballots.

Balogh put her phone bill in the dog's name, then used that as identification when she mailed in the registration form in April 2006. In November, she wrote "VOID" across Duncan's ballot and returned it with an image of a paw print on the signature line.

She admitted the ruse when an election official called, but the dog was still sent absentee ballots for school bond elections in February and May.

"Quite frankly, the process did take too long, and it should have been addressed after the November election," said Bobbie Egan, an elections office spokeswoman.

County election procedures are being reviewed to provide speedier action against voting fraud, Egan said.

The removal came three weeks after Balogh was charged in King County Superior Court with making a false or misleading statement to a public servant, a misdemeanor. She pleaded not guilty to the charge in June.

A sheriff's investigator wrote that she admitted registering the dog under false pretenses "to make a point that anyone could vote, even an animal."

A preliminary court hearing was pending.

"George Carlin's" Solution to Save Gasoline
Bush wants us to cut the amount of gas we use. The best way to stop Using so much gas is to deport 11 million illegal immigrants! That would be 11 million less people using our gas. The price of gas would come down. Bring our troops home from Iraq to guard the border.
When they catch an illegal immigrant crossing the border, hand him a canteen, rifle and some ammo and ship him to Iraq . Tell him if he wants to come to America then he must serve a tour in the military. Give him a soldier's pay while he's there and tax him on it. After his tour, he will be allowed to become a citizen since he defended this country. He will also be registered to be taxed and be a legal patriot. This option will probably deter illegal immigration and provide a solution for the troops in Iraq and the aliens trying to make a better life for themselves.
If they refuse to serve, ship them to Iraq anyway, without the canteen, rifle or ammo. Problem solved. If you think this is a good solution to both the problems, forward it to your friends. I just did.

Did you know that Iraqis are paying .25 cents a gallon for gasoline and our government is subsidizing it!

There is a movement to consolidate the United States, Canada and Mexico into the North American Union.  This is similar to the European Trade Union.  I think that this would be a disaster for our Country.  Please take the time to read this letter that I received.  Ask the Candidates of this election where they stand on this!

North American Union
Point of View Commentary
by Kerby Anderson

I want to talk to you about the establishment of a North American Union and the building of the NAFTA Superhighway. These issues are going to be given a great deal more prominence in the news in the next few weeks. For example, there will be a press conference next week at the National Press Club. Attending will be such people as Howard Phillips, Jerome Corsi, Phyllis Schlafly, as well as members of the House of Representatives who have introduced a resolution (H. CON. RES. 487) calling for an investigation into the North American Union and the NAFTA Superhighway System. The sponsors of the bill are Virgil Goode, Jr. (R-VA), Walter Jones (R-NC), Tom Tancredo (R-CO), and Ron Paul (R-TX).

Let me give you some background on these issues. It all started with a meeting in Waco, TX on March 23, 2005 with President George Bush, Mexican President Vincente Fox, Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin. At the end of the meeting they announced the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America. Some people in the press reported it, but no one thought much of it until people began to read the details of the agreement.

Essentially, the Security and Prosperity Partnership (or SPP as most people call it) created a new administrative infrastructure that could transfer these three countries into a North American Union similar to the European Union. And this was done without a treaty and without a vote in Congress.

But don't take my word for this. As we say on "Point of View" so often, read it for yourself. The Department of Commerce has developed a website: You can go there and read more about this. You can also print out this commentary and look up the endnotes to find more reading material on this than you might imagine.

If you go to the SPP website and read some of the material, you will find that the SPP has created "20 different working groups spanning a wide variety of issues ranging from e-commerce, to aviation policy, to borders and immigration." They have produced a number of memorandums of understanding as well as trilateral declarations of agreement. These new trilateral agreements essentially rewrite our administrative law so that it can be harmonized and integrated with these two other countries. And these working groups report to Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice, Department of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff, and Secretary of Commerce Carlos Gutierrez.

This plan was spelled out in detail in a Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) 59-page document called "Building a North American Community." It describes a five-year plan for the "establishment by 2010 of a North American economic and security community" with a common "outer security perimeter." The entire task force report of 175-pages is available at from the Council on Foreign Relations.

So what does this mean to the United States? Here are two examples that Jerome Corsi uses to explain what this would mean to our country. The first is the issue of open skies. The Department of Transportation has agreed to give our GPS system and our wide area navigation system to Canada and Mexico. That means that Mexican and Canadian air traffic controllers will be able to direct airplanes into our air space and land them in our airports as if they are landing them in their own countries. Now in order to do that safely, they also need to know how to identify U.S. military aircraft. So you can see, we will be giving away quite a bit of technology and information.

The second example is the idea known as "trusted trader-trusted traveler." The SPP working groups I just mentioned have announced that they will give biometric cards to all Americans, Mexicans, and Canadians to identify them as trusted North American travelers. Remember the goal here is to erase the borders between Mexico, Canada, and the United States. The North American Union will supposedly protect the perimeter of North America but will essentially remove the borders between these three countries. If you think about this, it will change the nature of the immigration debate. Mexicans who have these biometric cards and come to the United States by definition won't be illegal immigrants.

These working groups provide for the designation of a trusted trader. There is talk about putting a Sentri electronic devices in their trucks so that it would only take a few seconds to crosshe US-Mexican border in Laredo, Texas. In a sense, it would be like using an EasyPass on one of our toll roads in America.

That brings us to the other issue: the NAFTA superhighway. The Texas segment (known as the Trans-Texas Corridor) will begin construction next year. You can read about this at a Texas Department of Transportation website: t
In April 2006, TxDOT released a 4000-page Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) that describes a corridor that will be 1200 feet wide (the size of four football fields). It will parallel Interstate 35, and be five lanes north and five lanes south (3 cars, 2 trucks). In the middle will be pipelines and rail lines. It will also have a 200-foot wide utility corridor.

The corridor will start in Laredo, Texas run past Austin to the Texas-Oklahoma border. However the plans ultimately call for building some 4,000 miles of highway-railway-utility super-corridors throughout Texas over the next 50 years, using some 584,000 acres of what is now Texas farm and ranchland, at an estimated cost of $184 billion.

The project will be financed by Cintra Concesiones de Infraestrusturas in Spain and a San Antonio construction company Zachary Construction Corp. Cintra is an investment consortium owned by the Juan Carlos family in Spain that will collect the tolls. That's right the money for this project will go to Spain. Eventually, this NAFTA superhighway will ultimately connect through Kansas City into Canada.

This NAFTA superhighway will connect with ports in Mexico (specifically Manzanillo and Lazaro Cardenas) for NAFTA trade. "The plan is to ship containers of cheap goods produced by under-market labor in China and the Far East into North America via Mexican ports. From the Mexican ports, Mexican truck drivers and railroad workers will transport the goods across the Mexican border with Texas. Once in the U.S., the routes will proceed north to Kansas City along the NAFTA Super-Highway, ready to be expanded by the Trans-Texas Corridor, and NAFTA railroad routes being put in place by Kansas City Southern."

The advantage to retail companies like Wal-Mart, K-Mart, and Home Depot (to mention a few) is enormous. Currently the cost of shipping and ground transportation can nearly double the cost of cheap labor and slave labor from China and the Far East. China will be able to unload these huge cargo ships in these deep water ports in Mexico and bypass much of those costs. Mexican workers undercut the Longshoreman Union port employees on the docks of Los Angeles and Long Beach. Mexican truck drivers undercut the Teamsters. And U.S. truckers and railways will no longer be needed to move goods across the Rocky Mountains.

Oh, by the way, these Mexican ports will be controlled by the Chinese communists through a company we have talked about before on "Point of View." The company is Hutchison-Whampoa. This name should sound familiar. Hutchison Ports Holding owns Panama Ports Company which controls both ends of the Panama Canal.

The Chinese are also working to deepen and widen the Panama Canal so they can sail their enormous container ships to Florida and travel north through another corridor. Ultimately, the plan is to have seven of these corridors in the United States.

And while I am talking about the Panama Canal, I might mention that the man who is considered the father of the North American Union is Robert Pastor. And if that name sounds familiar it should. He is the man who proposed that the United States give away the Panama Canal during Jimmy Carter's presidency. He was the co-chair of the May 2005 CFR report, "Building a North American Community."

So how will the North American Union be put in place? There is good evidence to show that this plan will implemented the same way it was done in Europe: incrementally. There will be various bureaucratic regulations to eventually transform the United States, Canada, and Mexico the way Europe was transformed into the European Union from the Common Market. In fact, Robert Pastor has proposed that we get rid of the U.S. dollar, the Canadian dollar, and the Mexico peso. Instead we will have what he calls the amero (just like Europeans have the euro).

Just recently (September 12-14, 2006) there was a secret meeting in Banff , Alberta. Apparently its goal was to bring representatives from the three countries to advance the cause of the North American Union. You can read about these proceedings in a recent article that provides both the agenda and the attendee list.

Those who have been investigating this have also been filing Freedom of Information Act requests. Much of this information is posted on, and additional materials will soon be posted at They show memos of governmental officials discussing how our laws can be changed or how the laws of Canada or Mexico can be changed so that we would have North American laws.

So what should we do? First, we need to educate ourselves and pass this information on to others who would also be concerned about the loss of American sovereignty. The success in defeating the Dubai Ports issue (as well as other initiatives) demonstrates that once the American people know what is going on, they call and write their legislators. Get a copy of this commentary from our website and distribute it. Go to the references and endnotes that I provide to get additional information.

Second, find out where your elected representatives stand. Do they support a North American Union or do they support American sovereignty? It is better to find out before the elections.

Those of you in Texas should also ask the candidates for governor and other elected officials where they stand on the NAFTA superhighway. Eventually there will be 4,000 miles of highway. The state will use eminent domain to take this land. Under the Supreme Court Kelo decision, they can take that land even though the superhighway will be built for private benefit. Some have estimated that up to one million people in Texas may lose their land or their business under this eminent domain action. Where do these Texas candidates stand on this issue?
Third, express your support for the resolution (H. CON. RES. 487) introduced by Representatives Goode, Jones, Tancredo, and Paul. Its says that the United States should not enter into a North American Union with Mexico and Canada. And it says that the United States should not engage in the construction of a NAFTA Superhighway System.

We can win this battle with education and action. Go to (or to get more information and get involved in this crucial battle.

As an American who has served this country in the U.S. Navy, I find the above pictures outrageous and insulting.  They are in my view totally unbecoming of anyone who loves this nation and is a citizen or desires citizenship.  Hundreds of thousands of our best young men and women have paid the ultimate sacrifice over the last 230 years to make our nation what it is today.  They did not give their lives so that illegal aliens could just walk across our borders and demand the same rights that we as Americans have earned with the blood of our best.   I believe in immigration if done legally for we are a nation of immigrants.   I don't believe in amnesty for illegal aliens who have invaded our county, taking our jobs, sending our currency back to family members in foreign countries and all the while, enjoying a free public education for their children at our expense, demanding that we teach Spanish as a second language in our schools, receiving Medicare and Medicaid benefits that we the tax paying citizens of the United States pay for, and celebrating Mexican Independence Day on our courthouse squares.  Our Government spends billions of dollars every year giving aid and assistance to countries all over the world while neglecting our own here at home.    Our government allows the oil companies to make record profits while blaming the inflated prices on the war in Iraq.   If there wasn't a war then they would blame it on the fabricated shortage and the need for expensive exploration to find more oil.  It doesn't take an overly intelligent person to notice all of the oil wells in Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas that are capped off and not pumping because they want to use foreign oil and not our own reserves.  Now our Government is going to give legal status to the millions of illegal aliens that have invaded us over the last few decades.  We are rapidly becoming a third world nation ourselves.  Our complacency and self serving interests are going to be our undoing.  We the people of the United States are the Government and it is time that we control IT, before IT controls us.  Write, Call, Email and generally make a nuisance of yourselves to your State and Federal Congressmen.  I guarantee that they will listen if they think we are not going to  re-elected them if they don't!   Don't be surprised if you are ignored by most of them at first, they are probably busy drafting legislation suggested by the lobbyists paid by the meat and poultry packing companies and the oil companies, etc..  Remember, big companies do not have a vote, but you do.  The difference between big companies and the individual voter is that big companies are tenacious about using their voice through lobbyists.       YOU HAVE A VOICE --- USE IT!

Retired cop says Mexican drug cartels rig elections to take over U.S. cities

Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo.

WASHINGTON – Rep. Tom Tancredo's charge that Mexican drug cartels are buying up legitimate businesses in U.S. cities to launder money and using some of the proceeds to win local mayoral and city council seats for politicians who can shape the policies and personnel decisions of their police forces, has been backed up by a veteran gang investigator.

Richard Valdemar, a retired sergeant with the L.A. County sheriff's department and a longtime member of a federal task force investigating gang activity, went beyond the charges made by Tancredo, the chairman of the House Immigration Reform Caucus who has led the fight to secure America's southern border.

In fact, he cited first-hand experience in investigating attempts to take over seven cities in Los Angeles County – Southgate, Lynwood, Bell, Bell Gardens, Cudahy, Hawaiian Gardens and Huntington Park.

He also told WND in an exclusive interview that he has since become aware of similar efforts by Mexican drug cartels throughout the Southwest – in New Mexico, Arizona and Texas.

The stunning disclosures substantiate claims made by Tancredo in his new book, "In Mortal Danger: The Battle for America's Border and Security," in which he exposes what he has learned from meetings with law enforcement authorities regarding a concerted effort by the Mexican mafia and drug cartels to extend its corruptive influence in urban areas dominated by illegal alien populations.

Tancredo says some of these small cities have become hostile and dangerous places for legitimate law enforcement officials. Valdemar agrees, saying the sophisticated technique being employed in the U.S. was "invented in Mexico."

Valdemar, the grandson of legal Mexican immigrants and now a consultant to law enforcement agencies across the country on gang activity, explains how the operations work.

"In the typical scenario, a wealthy Mexican immigrant opens a business in a small town," he says. "It could be a very nice Mexican restaurant. He's well-dressed, speaks English, seemingly a real gentleman. He gets involved in the community. His business welcomes police officers with discounts. He makes friends with city officials and other businessmen. No one has any idea where his money comes from – the Mexican drug cartels."

Valdemar says the agent of the cartels often sets up other businesses – including the sale of cheap used tires and used autos. These businesses are used almost exclusively as fronts for laundering money.
